SPORTS

London is home to some of the best semi-professional sports teams in the country. Both the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League and the London Lightning of the National Basketball League are hosted at Budweiser Gardens. The 9,000-person arena holds over 60 sporting games annually. The Forest City Velodrome is the only indoor cycling facility in Ontario and one of only three built in North America. London is also the roost of the Forest City London Soccer Club and the London Majors of the International Baseball League. The Majors are based at Labatt Park, which opened in 1877 and is the world’s oldest operating baseball ground still in its original location.
